Dear readers,

Welcome to the KLOTZ AIS February Newsletter!

Like many of our customers, KLOTZ, as a manufacturer of high-quality interface solutions for live and studio applications, has had a difficult year with many challenges. But a relaxation of the measures that have hit us in the event industry so hard in recent months is foreseeable. Specialist shops for music equipment will soon be allowed to open again and in many places the planning for the first live events after this long dry spell is in full swing.

With a number of new products, we are well prepared for the first relaxations of the currently so strict rules - however small or large they may turn out to be - as well as the resumption of event operations.

Together with you, our customers and business partners, we hope for a better year in 2021, wish you good business and, at long last, luscious applause on stage again.

We hope you enjoy reading the KLOTZ Newsletter.

With kind regards
Your KLOTZ AIS Team

KLOTZ – HDMI 2.1 AOC Link – FOAUH..
New HDMI 2.1 AOC cable for 8K/60p and 4K/120p applications

With the new HDMI 2.1 AOC (active optical cable) series, we deliver a future-proof and stable HDMI fibre optic hybrid solution for professional 8K and 4K applications such as camera, video, home cinema, gaming and security. The active HDMI 2.1 fibre optic technology enables a transmission distance of up to 100m!

Thanks to their bandwidth of 48 Gbps, the HDMI 2.1 AOC cables transmit high-resolution Ultra HD image material in maximum 8K resolution (7680 x 4320) with 60 frames per second. At 4K resolution, even up to 120 frames per second are possible. Of course, all HDMI 2.1 compliant standards such as HDR, 3D and Dolby DTS can also be played back without any problems. The high-quality HDMI-A connectors are equipped with gold-plated contacts and electronic interference is completely eliminated by the use of OM3 glass fibres. Due to the guaranteed backwards compatibility, HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 1.4 devices can still be used without any problems. This allows maximum compatibility and flexibility in the choice of equipment and future-proofing for any type of installation.

For tough live and touring use, we also offer the HDMI 2.1 AOC series in a very robust, armoured version with protective plug caps on both sides (FOAUHR..). The armoured HDMI 2.1 AOC cables are also available in lengths of 50m, 75m and 100m on a high-quality GT310 cable drum (FOAUHW..).

KLOTZ – DMC Series
New DMX/CAT adapter cables with XLR by KLOTZ

With the new DMC series, we provide professional DMX to CAT adapter cables with KLOTZ XLR and either Hirose RJ45 or Neutrik etherCON connectors.

DMX signals can also be sent via network cables without any problems. However, this requires a suitable adapter cable from XLR to RJ45. With the new DMC series, we supply these DMX/CAT adapter cables in different versions.

On the XLR side, you can choose between the original KLOTZ XLR 3p. male and female or XLR 5p. male and female. The CAT side offers either the high-quality Hirose TM21 RJ45 connector or the robust and road-compatible Neutrik etherCON. The pin assignment of the RJ45 connector corresponds to the common ESTA standard and works with both shielded and unshielded network cables.

For the DMC series we use the robust and proven RamCAT cable RC5-LB1S in the standard lengths 0.3 m / 0.6 m / 0.9 m / 1.2 m / 1.5 m.

KLOTZ – XLR merging adapter AB-MM and XLR-BMP
New stereo-to-mono merging adapters with resistor matrix
and XLR by KLOTZ

With the KLOTZ AB-MM and XLR-BMP stereo-to-mono mergeing adapters, it is easily possible to reproduce a stereo signal via a 3.5mm or 6.35mm stereo jack through an XLR mono input of a mixing console or an active loudspeaker as a mono signal without distortion.

The resistor matrix integrated in the connectors ensures that level addition is prevented when summing the stereo signal in mono, thus guaranteeing absolutely distortion-free reproduction of the stereo signal in mono.

This makes it possible, for example, to play back a stereo signal from an MP3 player or laptop via only one active loudspeaker or to use a mono channel in a mixing console for the stereo source.
